You can experience our Company's world-class small molecule and biologics R&D expertise and contribute to the company's leading discovery capabilities by applying for a scientific internship position in the Pharmacokinetics, Dynamics, Metabolism and Bioanalytics (PDMB) group within our Company's Research Laboratories.
Under the direction of the group leader, the individual will:
Evaluate small molecule & biologic compounds in Transwell in vitro systems and understand molecule's permeability.
Gain comprehensive understanding of physicochemical properties of drug molecules contributing to permeability.
Learn to correlate pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic, and biodistribution data sets to support drug discovery and development.
Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data using statistical and analytical methods.
The successful candidate is expected to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment to meet the research goals and to demonstrate the ability to communicate results of his/her work in both verbal and written formats. In addition to the core responsibilities outlined above, the candidate will be expected to keep careful records, comply with all required training, and maintain a focused attention on laboratory safety. We are seeking intern candidates with strong academic performance, communication skills, and the ability to work in a multi-functional and team environment.
Location: West Point, PA
This is a full- time intern position. Housing subsidy is not available as part of this program and must be funded 100% by the student.
Education:
Required: Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or other relevant discipline working towards a graduate degree.
Required Experience and Skills:
Candidates must be available to work full-time for up to 12 consecutive weeks beginning May of 2025.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Basic laboratory skills and research experience, such as: Various biochemical assays and molecular biology techniques: LC-MS/MS, understanding of physicochemical properties of drug molecules, basic pipetting, and dilution techniques.
Basic knowledge in biology and chemistry; demonstrated interests in understanding Quantitative structure-activity relationship of drug molecules.
Basic understanding of enzyme kinetics, inhibition, and pharmacokinetics
Basic understanding of mechanistic modeling and use of electronic notebook
Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, problem solving, and collaboration skills along with strengths in delivering results in fast-paced environment.
GPA of 3.0 or higher
Under New York City, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate's relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected salary range:
$39,600.00-$105,500.00

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
