Our Digital Capability team is looking for solution-based engineers with a passion for developing easy-to-use, customer focused and capabilities which power Fidelity's web and mobile experience platforms.
The team builds systems to modernize Mainframe capabilities that support Fidelity's large scale digital presence. You will help us craft and develop re-usable Java applications that focus on customer experience needs and optimize quality and deployment practices. We work closely with our business, operations, and systems partners to enable new business capabilities, respond to regulatory changes, modernize technology solutions, and address the complex needs of our customers. You'll chip in to the entire development lifecycle from concept to deployment as a member of an agile, multi-functional team.

We're looking for software engineers that enjoy a reciprocal environment and have a passion for releasing high quality software through iterative software development practices.
Required Experience and Skillsets
Technical Skills
- 8+ years of demonstrated experience building solutions that use Java 8+, Python 3+, Web application frameworks such as Spring Boot, and RESTful API development.
- Strong skills with AWS Toolsets, including but not limited to SQS, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, Kinesis, and Cloudformation
- Expertise in designing, building, and documenting customer facing RESTful APIs
- Strong skills with Data Engineering and ETL processes, leveraging tools such as Spark, or AWS Glue
- Strong skills with Container Technologies and Kubernetes
- Demonstrable ability to create robust technical designs with a DevOps mindset incorporated. Scalability, resiliency, robustness, maintainability, automation, and observability must be considered.
- Demonstrable ability to dive into an existing complex set of applications and systems, understand them, and subsequently make vital changes to them.
- Demonstrable ability to read high-level business requirements and translate them into technical tasks.
- Strong skills with the full lifecycle of development, from analysis to installed into production.
- Strong skills with coordinating testing efforts across multiple teams.
Leadership Skills
- Proven experience to own the delivery of complex end-to-end solutions.
- Proven experience managing technical programs within a Scrum Agile SDLC environment.
- Able to communicate effectively to coordinate efforts, collaborate with other teams and simply explain the constituent parts of complex problems.
- Proven experience guiding fellow engineers and upskilling their capabilities.
- Ability to dive into complex environments and drive their own understanding of those systems.
