We are seeking sophomore and junior students majoring in Biochemistry, Biology, Bio-engineering, Biomedical sciences, or a related field for a 12-Week Student Intern role working in Gaithersburg, MD for a May 19th - August 8th contract period.
Position Duties:
Operate icIEF instrument.
Execute the set of design of experiment to collect data for assessing capillary isoelectric focusing (icIEF) instrument to instrument variability/robustness with various AZ proprietary molecules.
Process/Analyze the collected data on associated software.
Summarize/compile the data into a method development report and/or PowerPoint to present to group.
Position Requirements:
Sophomore and junior students majoring in Biochemistry, Biology, Bio-engineering, Biomedical sciences, or a related field.
Candidates must have an expected graduation date after August 2025.
Wet lab skills including pipetting, operating scales/balances are required.
Additional lab skills such as imaging capillary isoelectric focusing (icIEF) and/or capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) are a plus.
Software experience using Excel and DOE software (i.e. JMP) are preferred.
Enthusiasm for collaboration, cross-functional projects, public speaking, and presentation design.
US Work Authorization is required at time of application.
This role will not be providing CPT/OPT support.
Ability to report onsite to Gaithersburg, MD for 4-5 days a week. This role will not provide relocation assistance.
Minimum grade point average of 3.0
