General Purpose and Scope of Position:
The Aquaculture Nutritionist responsibilities include formulation of fish and/or shrimp feeds for all life stages based on the most current scientific knowledge, identifying and developing nutritional opportunities to address industry needs, and assessing the nutritional and economic value of dietary regimes. As part of the local leadership team, this individual works closely with operations, sales and sourcing and provides technical field support to key customers.

Excellent communication, presentation and leadership skills
Experience in leveraging formulation software
Proficient in working with MS Office Suite
Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally internationally, including overnights
Key Personal Attributes Include:
Master of Science or PhD in a relevant industry related field preferred (ex: animal science, animal nutrition, biochemistry)
Significant aquaculture industry related work experience
Strong technical knowledge of aquaculture and feed manufacturing
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:
Work closely with the sales manager to develop and manage nutritional strategies for new and existing markets, customers and product strategies and related programs.
Work closely with operations to balance formulations and operational efficiency
Work closely with sourcing team to manage raw material pipelines and development new ingredients
Work with the sales manager to identify and develop strategic partners, exclusive agreements and grow major customer accounts.
Leverage technical knowledge and product expertise to provide on farm technical support.
Build and maintain relationships with end users and industry influencers to support product sales.
Provide product training and technical support and stewardship, as well as participate in industry events to support the business and the business objectives.
Collaborate with team members to maximize the product group business results in both the short and long term in areas such as marketing, customer support, supply chain and regulatory.
Build the Rangen brand into the position of market leadership in the market.
Utilize KPI’s regularly to monitor/report progress toward goals and report on competitors, market conditions, etc;
Compensation and Benefits:
In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $59,900 - $79,910. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
