Our team at Aquent is seeking a talented and experienced Art Director, Events to support our Experiential Marketing Agency client for 20–30 hours a week. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in creating innovative and impactful visual concepts for large-scale events. This role requires a strong understanding of both print and digital media, as well as the ability to seamlessly integrate them into cohesive experiences.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including strategy, account management, and production, to develop creative concepts and approaches.
* Generate original design concepts and oversee projects from inception to execution.
* Develop compelling visual narratives aligned with project briefs, utilizing words, images, and sketches.
* Create event/theme identity systems incorporating color, typography, and imagery (focus on event identity, not extensive brand identity design).
* Develop storyboards to visualize experiences and content flow.
* Select props and plants to enhance event environments.
* Provide art direction to designers for the creation of various creative elements.
* Coordinate design projects with creative project managers, event producers, graphic producers, and digital producers.
* Manage design assets and approvals through Click Up.
Qualifications:
* 5+ years of experience as an Art Director with a strong portfolio demonstrating successful large-scale event work.
* Expert knowledge of print and digital design principles and production processes.
* Ability to develop compelling visual concepts and bring them to life.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
* Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
* Experience with project management tools (e.g., Click Up).
* A passion for creating immersive and unforgettable experiences.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is 50-52 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
