The Associate Director, Corporate Accounts (ADCA) is responsible for optimizing access, reimbursement, and profitability for CSL Behring’s portfolio of brands in specialty and orphan disease. This is a key leadership role in CSL Behring’s commercial organization and reports to the Senior Director of Corporate Accounts. The ADCA is responsible for executing CSL Behring’s market access strategies with targeted payers, health plans, pharmacy benefit managers, Medicare administrative contractors, Medicaid programs and Specialty Pharmacies.
Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Responsible for optimizing formulary access, reimbursement and profitability within targeted accounts for CSL Behring’s portfolio of brands
- Execute CSL Behring’s market access strategies with payers, health plans, pharmacy benefit managers, Medicare Administrative contractors, Medicaid programs, and Specialty Pharmacies.
- Lead negation and Contract Management activities with targeted accounts.
- Support the development, implementation, and ongoing assessment of all CSL Behring market access strategies within Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and Specialty Pharmacy market channels.
- Represent CSL Behring at key industry functions such as Asembia, PCMA.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Market Access, Sales, Commercial Operations and Medical Affairs to align strategies and meet joint brand and cross-organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with Sales leadership to drive product pull-through opportunities.
- Collaborate with Field Reimbursement leadership to overcome product access obstacles.
- Analyze the US healthcare market trends, healthcare reform, and relevant business models to inform approach to account management.
- Advise commercial leadership regarding payer and SP market trends, landscape changes and policies that influence the marketplace for the CSL Behring portfolio
- Manage resources effectively and efficiently within budgetary constraints
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures, as well as US healthcare laws and regulations
Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Pharmacy, Health Policy or Life Sciences or equivalent experience.
- 8-10 years of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience including 5+ years as a Corporate Account Director in Payer channel,
- Excellent understanding of US market access environment and decision makers.
- Strong collaboration skill and leadership skills to influence internal and external decision-makers.
- Working knowledge of the contracting function and all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Proven track record of success to include escalating responsibility, consistent high-performance ratings, and management recognition.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to effectively communicate vision with senior management and the broader commercial organization.
- Good understanding of all associated legal, compliance and regulatory requirements.
