Purpose:
As the Behavioral Lab Research Project Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in coordinating in-person human subjects research experiments within the Ross Behavioral Lab. You will manage the student research requirement for marketing and management courses and lab experiments deployed for the student research requirement. You will help execute in-lab experiments by managing communication among instructional faculty, students, and researchers, collecting and organizing experiment materials, coordinating research sessions, and reviewing studies for quality assurance. You will work closely with the behavioral lab manager, under the direction of the research manager.

Responsibilities*

Coordinate Student Research Requirement (50%)

  • Coordinate the student research requirement for marketing and management courses and lab experiments deployed for the student research requirement.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for researchers, instructional faculty, and students for the student research requirement.
  • Coordinate with the behavioral lab manager to schedule lab space and lab staff, coordinate and post research sessions.

In-Person Research Study Project Management (30%)

  • Collaborate with researchers to develop and finalize protocol
  • Post research sessions, monitor signups and study progress, communicate with study participants, issue payments and credits
  • Lead as the head RA for administration of each research session, training RAs on protocol.

Online Research Study Project Management (10%)

  • Assist lab manager in deployment of online research studies on behalf of researchers.
  • Integrate research studies into research tools, collect research data, communicate with researchers on study progress and reconciliation.

Additional Research Tasks (10%)

  • Lab metrics and additional research tasks as needed

Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or related field
  • 2+ years of experience working in a human subjects research laboratory with in-person research data collection
  • Working knowledge of psychology or related fields, such as consumer or organizational behavior research
  • Experience with survey design and experimental software such as Qualtrics or e-Prime

Modes of Work

Additional Information

The general salary range for this position is $45,100 to $53,000. This posting range reflects multiple factors involved in determining compensation, such as skills, experience, training, certifications, and other organizational needs. At Ross, it is not common for new hires to be offered a salary at the upper end of the range. Compensation decisions are based on the details of each situation.
