Job Title: Building Services Worker - part time
Department: Building Services
Reports to: Building Services Manager and Supervisors
Supervises: None
FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Compensation: $21.00 - 22.00/hourly
General Summary:
This position is a labor-intensive position. It involves the movement and placement of large quantities of facility furniture including, but not limited to chairs, tables, stanchions, wall panels, dollies, etc., and other related equipment up to 75 pounds. A degree of decision-making is required involving the transport and set-up/dismantle of equipment for safety and efficiency reasons.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Review event documents for area set-ups/dismantle
Coordinate equipment movement in a safe, efficient manner
Instruct and monitor others in the use of facility equipment
Maintain inventory in proper storage areas
Supervise on-call personnel
Operate material handling equipment as necessary
Maintain appropriate stock of supplies
Complete event related time documentation forms
Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED, preferred
Customer Service experience, preferred
Industry experience, preferred
Skills and Abilities
Self-motivated, with the ability to accomplish tasks without direct supervision
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication and inter-personal skills among all levels of staff and clientele. Provide customer service in a professional considerate manner
Work effectively with diverse groups of people among all levels within an organization
Perform job tasks effectively, despite sudden deadlines and changing priorities
Exceptional problem solving and organizational skills
Excellent record of dependability, reliability, and integrity
Ability to speak, understand, and read standard English
Computer Skills
Basic computer skills
