The Defense Systems Technology and Strategy (T&S) organization is seeking a Business Development (BD) Operations Analyst to perform a variety of operational and strategic tasks. You will play a key role in supporting the Sector Technology and Strategy team by coordinating trade show activities, customer engagement, event planning, metrics reporting, and assisting with operations and integration project management. This position is located in McLean, VA.
Key Responsibilities:
• Trade Show and Event Management: Collaborate with the Senior BD Operations Manager to plan and manage trade show and conference activities, including sponsorship tracking, Salesforce entries, reporting, and developing executive prep materials.
• Cross-Divisional Coordination: Partner with corporate, sector, and division teams to coordinate tradeshow staffing, attendance, and logistical support. Assist in the annual planning process, including budgeting and scheduling.
• Metrics and Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, charts, and pivot tables to meet sector reporting requirements. Ensure accuracy and timely delivery of reports in line with planned milestones.
• Executive Support: Prepare executive-level presentations, slides, and meeting materials. Support executive engagement by preparing demos and delivering key updates to project stakeholders.
• Collaboration and Integration: Act as a liaison between corporate, sector, and division BD teams. Assist with other operational and integration tasks as requested by senior leadership.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2+ years of professional experience, or 6+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities independently.
• Proven problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with Salesforce and basic CRM functionalities.
• Knowledge of Northrop Grumman's policies and procedures.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
Desired Qualifications:
• Experience preparing executive-level customer engagement materials and reports.
• Familiarity with SharePoint for document management and collaboration.
• Understanding of the aerospace and defense industry.
• Experience working with executives and preparing high-level documents.
• Familiarity with Northrop Grumman's Business Acquisition Process (BAP).
Salary Range: $87,200 - $130,800
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
