Salary range for RSAM Registered Nurses $41.44 - $64.45 / hour
- Evening Shift Differential-$3.00 / hour
- Night Shift Differential- $4.00 / hour

- Night Shift Weekend Differential- $6.90 / hour

Responsibilities*
- Provides nursing care to Orthopaedic Surgery patients who have been scheduled for surgery to support improved surgical outcomes, patient safety, efficient utilization of OR resources as well as improve faculty, staff and patient satisfaction.
- Coordinates care pre-operatively for patients already scheduled for surgery for orthopaedic patient populations including, but not limited to pre-op clearances, lab result follow-up, medical record review for surgical risk factors, need for medical clearances, medication management before and after surgery
- Provides patient and family education on surgical needs including in-person patient education classes and telehealth education
- Provides nursing assessment and care to include but not limited to post-op wound and incision site assessment
- Position will expand to include all Orthopaedic divisions as capacity is determined.
- Prepares consent for patients as directed under MM protocol
- Develops and distributes weekly OR list for Ortho team
- Provides tele-health nursing to patients and families to include: triaging calls from patients and families, clinicians, and other healthcare team members.
- Collaborate with other health team members and associated resource persons to ensure continuity of care across all care environments.
- Assist in the development and implementation of competencies, protocols, and patient education tools to improve patient care.
- Candidate must be able to function with a minimum of supervision and be highly motivated to provide excellent care and patient advocacy.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives.

- Demonstrated skills to organize and manage multiple interventions simultaneously understanding acuity and urgency in prioritizing duties.
- Proficiency in computer and keyboarding skills, using an electronic medical record, and Microsoft Office and calendaring experience.

CLIN CARE COORD- COMPETENT.
Actual RSAM LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.
RSAM levels range from CCC-COMPETENT to CCC-EXPERT TO CCC-MASTERY.Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position.

Required Qualifications*
? Current license to practice Nursing in the State of Michigan.
? Required Educational Requirement; applicant must meet one of the following: Bachelor?s degree in Nursing OR Associates degree or diploma in Nursing and a Master?s degree in Nursing
? Three (3) years direct experience with Adult Orthopaedic patients as a RN, within the last five (5) years. Preference given to experience working with total joint replacement patient population.Must be willing to travel to off-site clinics to provide coverage with potential expansion of orthopaedic divisions.

Location: Brighton Center for Specialty Care with potential to travel to off-site clinics to provide coverage with potential expansion of orthopaedic divisions.Note: All new employees will be expected to float to a designated unit(s) in times of low census
