Job Summary
As Clinical Quality Registered Nurse, you will manage efforts to prioritize patient safety and healthcare quality. You will be involved in projects improving quality assurance, management, and enhancement. You'll collect data, conduct research, create presentations, and take corrective actions. You'll also support peer reviews and ensure compliance with regulatory standards for our organization's improvement.
What You'll Do
- Help both staff and management in establishing dependable and quantifiable standards for patient safety and quality.
- Recognize and meet regulatory standards related to patient safety and quality assurance.
- Help medical staff with quality assurance tasks, address management issues found in peer review, and improve quality where possible.
- Distinguish processes that are consistent from those that aren't and take remedial actions based on these findings.
- Utilize tools like flow charts, failure analysis, run charts, and statistical control for process evaluation.
- Partner with medical and clinical top people to create and present reports on quality and patient safety.
- Contribute to the annual assessments of programs, providing reports on patient safety and quality management.
- Participate in the Peer Review Program, assisting in data collection, research, and aggregation at appointment and reappointment cycles as needed.
- Work with Risk Management to ensure research data meets legal privacy protections for confidentiality.
What Will Make You Successful In The Role
- You should have practical knowledge and experience in project management, particularly in applying quality tools and methods.
- Knowing key quality and regulatory organizations like the Joint Commission and Institute for Healthcare Improvement is important. Familiarity with organizations like NAHQ and NCQA is crucial.
- You must be able to maintain the strictest confidentiality of information obtained during the performance of your duties.
- You need to share activities and learning within our facility and organization effectively, using good communication skills. Communication is essential.
- While not required, a current certification as a Professional in Healthcare Quality is preferred.

Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or equivalent.
- At least (2) two years of relevant work experience.
- RN License
