Program Overview

The Comcast internship program will help you cultivate meaningful relationships, develop strong interpersonal and business skills, gain exposure to the day-to-day operations of a Fortune 40 media and technology company, and receive mentorship opportunities to expand your professional network.

This program immerses students into the daily operation of a contemporary media and technology company while working side-by-side with Comcast's top innovators. The student becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units.

Organization & Team Overview

California Finance and Bus. Ops Team:

  • Reports on financial performance of California region cable business, and provide insight to internal business partners on risk and opportunities

  • Performs financial analysis to support operational decision making for California region

  • Develops financial forecast and budget for California region

Role Description

Are you passionate about using financial analysis and story telling to influence strategic decision and drive financial performance? Are you interested in partnering with cross functional teams to deliver business results? As a financial analyst intern on the California region Finance and Business Ops team, you will be working with the brightest minds in analyzing financial data, building financial models and reports to inform business decision making.

  • The Finance Analyst Intern could be working on a combination of Budget development, monthly forecasts, building financial reports and decks

  • Ad hoc analysis to support decision making, provide insight on a specific financial trend or identify an opportunity

The analysis and insight from the student's work could have direct impact on financial performance of California region

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • The Finance Analyst Intern could be working on a combination of Budget development, monthly forecasts, building financial reports and decks

  • Ad hoc analysis to support decision making, provide insight on a specific financial trend or identify an opportunity

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to tell the story well - both written and verbally to non-finance audience

  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams within the region, division and HQ

  • Analytical skills to analyze data and build models

  • Strong work discipline and accountability

Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree from a United States-based college or university

  • Rising Junior or Rising Senior only (must have a graduation date between Winter 2025- Spring 2027)

  • Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2025 semester before graduating)

  • Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program- June 2 through August 15, 2025

  • Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs

  • Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering)

Salary:

Base Pay: $28.00
