Summary
This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial client and prospect relationships with companies with annual revenues of $30 million and above. Serves as the primary point of contact for these relationships and delivers tailored solutions to target customers and prospects by listening to their needs and using the Commercial banking product suite (loans, deposits, letters of credit, treasury management, international banking services, wealth management, merchant services, retirement services, etc.) to meet those needs. The role is responsible for serving as a key leader/facilitator in collaborating with product specialists to meet customer needs. Must have strong communication and presentation skills.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Manages a portfolio of complex customer relationships with a focus on deepening existing client relationships and acquiring new, profitable relationships by developing a command of the Commercial banking product suite and consultative selling.
- Acts as a financial advisor to those customers by staying informed of market conditions, economic and industry trends and advising customers of financial strategies that help them navigate various business climates.
- Works collaboratively with teammates to develop account structures and treasury management solutions that meet customer needs.
- Work collaboratively with teammates to analyze the credit strengths and weaknesses of prospective borrowers and make loan decision recommendations.
- Work collaboratively with management to make recommendations on pricing which are competitive with the marketplace but achieve an acceptable return for the bank.
- Prepare, or assist in the preparation of, complete and accurate credit packages, including financial analysis or other written communications that advance the lending process.
- Coordinate deal team meetings for new opportunities and/or renewals, which include the Credit Analyst, Portfolio Manager, Senior Credit Officer and other relevant constituents, including Departmental Executive and Market President.
- Create/Prepare term sheets and commitment letters, with Management supervision. Finalizes term sheets and commitment letters with consent of required credit authority and presents to clients and prospective clients.
- Identifies portfolio weaknesses and trends and alerts management (Group Manager, Market President, Senior Credit Officer) to deteriorating portfolio conditions.
- Provide mentoring and training to other bank associates.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Include
- Bachelor (4-year college) degree
- 4-6 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
