The Role
The Contract Manager provides industry specific expertise and strategic and tactical direction in the development, negotiation, management and administration of complex contract negotiations and supplier relationships. The Contract Manager will lead the process of analyzing contract issues to identifying and eliminating risks and optimizing value to Fidelity. The Contract Manager works independently on both standard and non-standard contracts.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelor's degree, JD Preferred
- Construction and/or real estate contract experience preferred
- 3+ years of purchasing related experience, including contract negotiations and administration
- Proactive management of multiple Supplier relationships and ability to work well under pressure
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven track record of strong collaboration and teamwork
- Strong negotiation skills and knowledge of business terms and conditions
- Ability to assess risk and translate business requirements to viable business solutions
- Commitment to drive quality and process improvements
- Excellent project management skills
- Strong customer focus and collaboration/teamwork skills
How Your Work Impacts the Organization
- Recommend improvement opportunities and propose modifications to Fidelity contract templates.
- Work with suppliers and business personnel to: identify, research and resolve purchasing related issues; develop corrective action programs; and monitor progress and find opportunities for improvement and growth.
- Meet regularly with sourcing counterparts for assigned commodities to ensure overall alignment.
- Provide incremental support to sourcing teams for execution of strategies within the commodity plans
