The Role
As a hands-on Director of Full Stack Engineering you will help deliver the best digital experience for Workplace Investing's Financial Wellness and Retirement Income products. This includes leading the definition and implementation of best in class engineering solutions and enabling engineering excellence across the chapter.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- 7+ years hands on experience as a full stack software engineer
- Skilled in all aspects of software development lifecycle
- * Hands on experience designing, building, and supporting high transaction applications.
- Deep experience enabling scalability, availability, intelligent monitoring, and performance
- Excellent leadership, communication, collaboration, and influencing skills
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop technology associates
- Robust critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent experience
The Value You Deliver
- Champion, identify, and drive development standards to improve quality, efficiency, reliability, and consistency
- Partner across the chapter area and product area to define and implement engineering standards, methodologies, and best practices
- Provide full stack engineering thought leadership to advance the Digital Experience
- Collaborate with technology and business partners across Fidelity to provide strategic input into the long-term direction and roadmaps
- Ability to see the "big picture" impact of small decisions made in the present and are able to influence and empower others to do the same
