DIRECTOR OF MARKETING (CPG / FOOD & BEV)

Location: Boston, MA and/or Stratham, NH
Hybrid Schedule: 2x days in Boston, ideally Thursdays in Stratham, NH
Salary: $137K-$178K
Timeline for hire: 3 interviews, but will be expedited - hire ideally by Mid November

NOTE: In order to consider the most highly qualified candidates, relocation assistance to the Boston area is available. No consideration will be given to those not in the area or willing to relocate. 

Position Overview
The Director of Marketing will lead one of three major food categories within a global brand, with a direct line over two Brand Managers, dotted lines over two others, and reporting to the North American Head of Marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the marketing strategy, brand/portfolio success while providing team leadership and operational success for their dedicated CPG/food line.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to drive sales and increase brand equity in the CPG sector - this could include print, web, digital, social, OOH, influencer, partnerships, video / broadcast, and more.
  • Oversee all aspects of brand management to ensure consistent messaging and positioning across all channels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing strategies with product development and sales objectives.
  • Analyze market trends and customer insights to identify opportunities for growth and innovation in products and marketing campaigns.
  • Lead and mentor the team, fostering a culture of creativity and performance.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and make data-driven adjustments as necessary.
  • Manage external agencies and vendors as well as internal teams on execution of integrated consumer and trade marketing campaigns
  • Identify and lead opportunities for brand innovation / new product launch.
  • Help in the overall effort to increase internal efficiencies and further enhance marcom tech stack/integration.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in brand management within the CPG industry.
  • Prior director-level brand experience for global CPG company.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing successful brand marketing strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and market trends.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Relocation Package Details
" You will be provided a Relocation Bonus allowance to help offset incidental, move-related expenses. Amount: Two (2) weeks new base salary up to a maximum of $5,000.00 net of taxes.

Home Marketing Assistance 
" Broker recommendation and selection, pre-marketing preparation, listing, and negotiation assistance on the sale of your current primary residence. 

Homefinding Trips
" Travel and living expenses for up to 2 trips, for a total of 7 days, with your spouse/ partner, including reasonable travel and meals. Travel by coach airfare or current mileage reimbursement.

Temporary Living
" Temporary housing accommodations for up to 60 days. If temporary housing includes kitchen facilities meals will not be reimbursed.

Return Visits Home
" If the transferee is separated from his or her family during the temporary living period, up to 3 return trips home will be approved for coach airfare or current mileage reimbursement.

Destination Services
" Assistance in finding a home in the new location including referrals to local brokers and counseling on relevant communities, schools, and housing options.

National Mortgage Lender
" Access to the services of a national mortgage lender, at your option, for general education, interest rate comparisons, or financing." Benefits may include pre-qualification, mortgage counseling, and acceptance of spouse income prior to reemployment.

Move Management Services
" Full service van line move including partial unpacking, and up to 60 storage in transit, (if needed), move insurance coverage of up to $75,000 of replacement value. Shipment of one car is included if move is more than 300 miles and two cars if move is more than 500 miles. The transferee is permitted to take 1 (one) day off to support the moving process.

Renter's Program
" Lease break coverage including loss of security deposit not to exceed two months' rent. Usual, customary and reasonable rental assistance fees are paid in those real estate communities where the tenant is responsible for said fees.

Final En Route Trip
" Travel and lodging for you & your household members. Travel and Lodging in transit is to be by most direct route, and any trips over 300 miles per day for a duration longer than 3 days should be approved by management.

Tax Support
" Certain relocation entitlements are deemed taxable as ordinary income by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Please refer to policy section on Tax Information.
