APCO is hiring seniors and recent graduates to join our full-time, 6-month paid internship program. Our interns will experience on-the-job training in client service as a part of our Global Marketing team. Interns are treated as professional staff, participate in team meetings and actively contribute ideas, and support the overall management and growth of client work and the firm.
This internship will sit in APCO's Washington, D.C. office
APCO’s clients include local, national and global organizations in the technology, trade, food and beverage, and healthcare sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Marketing Design team with multiple creative projects
- General support, including:
- Photo sourcing and retouching
- Incorporating edits to print and digital projects
- Preparing/editing PowerPoint presentations and Word documents
- Designing logos and brand identities
- File management and archiving
- Developing social media graphics
- Research and analysis on non-design projects
- Work with brand designer, brand creative director, and with APCO employees
- Other tasks and projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Recent college graduate or senior in class standing
- Portfolio that demonstrates expertise in design, typography, composition, and color
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, etc.)
- Previous work in an agency or in-house creative team preferred
- Candidates must be team players with excellent communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to work against tight deadlines
- Available to work 40 hours per week
- Knowledge of video, animation, and web design is a plus
- Knowledge of wireframing, prototyping, HTML/CSS is a plus
- Requires US Work Authorization, unable to consider candidates with OPT/Post-OPT status
What are the core working hours and will I need to be in an office?
Our interns work between 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We are committed to a hybrid and flexible working environment, and there may be days that you wish to work from home and days that we come together so that you get to explore more of our culture and meet other colleagues. You will be provided with a company laptop so that you are able to work from home and in the office easily. When is the closing date for applications? Applications will close on Monday, March 17th. When does the internship commence? Our intern program begins on Monday, June 9th and ends on Friday, December 12th 2025. Compensation:
This is a paid internship at a fixed hourly rate of $17.50.
