Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world’s leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking to hire an Information Technology Product Manager oversee the development and delivery of IT products that meet market needs and align with the company’s strategic goals. This role involves managing the product lifecycle from conception to launch, working closely with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that products are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Reporting to the Manager of IT Products, the IT Product Manager will manage user experience and functionality by designing new products and enhancing existing products through technically rigorous, strategically sound business analysis. They will also ensure the success of new products and functionality through the development of supporting business processes, demonstration examples and training scenarios.
This position can reside in most US offices and offers a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule. Regular working hours are 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Key responsibilities include:
Product Strategy and Vision:
In collaboration with Manager, IT Products, develop and communicate firm appropriate product vision and strategies.
Analyze new product opportunities with the business units and procurement.
Define product roadmaps that align with company goals and customer needs.
Product Development:
Gather and prioritize product and customer requirements.
Work closely with development and technical teams to deliver product features.
Manage the product backlog and coordinate sprints and releases.
Maintain and prioritize the product backlog to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
Coordinate with development teams to ensure backlog items are clearly defined and actionable.
Oversee software release management to ensure timely and high-quality product launches.
Ensure continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices are followed through Devops and Jira in line with firm development standards
Stakeholder Management:
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on product goals.
Provide regular updates to senior management and other stakeholders
Act as the primary point of contact for product-related inquiries.
Communicate effectively with end-users to gather feedback and ensure their needs are met.
Product Lifecycle Management:
Monitor product performance and gather user feedback for continuous improvement.
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success.
Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate product functionality and performance.
Experience and qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university and minimum of four (4) years professional working experience as a business analyst; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrated experience supporting multiple, large-scale, multi-business unit, enterprise-wide IT project initiatives in a complex environment.
5+ years of experience in product management, preferably in an IT or software development environment.
Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Strong technical background with the ability to understand and communicate technical concepts.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency with product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Azure Devops, M365, SharePoint Online).
Experience with Azure Services and Microsoft Online Products including SharePoint and DevOps, Atlassian tools, InTapp and Elite Enterprise or similar legal systems a plus
