Job Description:
Apex has an exciting opportunity for a Lab Technician to join a great Innovative company in Pasadena, TX.
Lab Technician
Reporting to the Senior Analyst or Laboratory Supervisor, the Laboratory Analyst will perform analysis of samples, using experience and specialist knowledge of a range of analytical chemistry techniques to maintain the smooth running of the laboratory and meet customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for working as part of a small team to ensure reservoir tracer log in and preparation is performed accurately and to a high standard prior to data release to the client.
- Work in accordance with company Health and Safety procedures to ensure laboratory operations are conducted in a safe manner.
- Work according to the relevant laboratory quality standard to ensure sample preparation is performed in line with the most recent procedure, analytical method or work instruction.
- To take on any other duties which are within the employee's skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.
- Liaise with Senior Analyst to ensure client requirements are understood and met in full and to required timescale
Scope:
- Working closely with other Technicians, under instruction from the Laboratory Supervisor or Manager, the Laboratory Technician will form an important part of a team which is responsible for organization/data entry of laboratory samples and accurate preparation of oil samples.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's of Science in Chemistry or Life Sciences
- Knowledge of GCMS an advantage.
- Broad general background knowledge of a range of Analytical Chemistry techniques an advantage.
- Safety conscious attitude
- Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook)

- Accurate with attention to detail
- Organized
- Understands and immediately implements corrections to work procedures or safety behaviors
- Good communication skills
- Punctual
