Join a high-performing team that is responsible for building and maintaining our Linux server infrastructure that supports critical KeyBank applications, serving internal partners and external customers. Participate in a high performing culture delivering high availability solutions, implementing security best practices, remediating vulnerabilities, and delivering automated solutions for easier platform maintenance and deployment. The senior Linux Engineer is a thought leader in the ongoing digital transformation and cloud migration. In this role, the engineer works with application teams to determine requirements, evaluate solutions, and implements those solutions that achieve business objectives.*
Perform daily administration of Redhat Linux 7/8/9 on-prem and in GCP.
* Build server images to conform to standards, including hardening and security compliance like CIS, SOX, PCI.
* Manage service level agreements, documentation, and policy/procedure related Linux Servers and ancillary tools
.* Respond to off-hours calls / text (L3) on-call support
.* Execute changes off-hours as needed
.* Create and manage scripts to perform system tasks with ansible.
* Assist with design, configuration, and maintenance of the Linux server environment using Packer, Terraform and a VMware Virtualization Technology
.* Work with the team to ensure standards are included, applied, and maintained across all product sets and solutions.
* Manage and maintain VMware virtualization environment on a hyperconverged server platform* Own and operate the companys release engineering infrastructure, including physical and virtual hardware, automation tooling, and continuous integration (CI) resources* Audit and secure services across development, test, and production environments
* Independently coordinates with system vendors to resolve system issues.
* Supports and maintains the hardware and software infrastructure with a target of zero unplanned downtime.
* Consistently observe security best practices in the deployment of all responsibilities.
* Assist with internal and external audits
Experience and Skills*
Linux Server Administration - 7+ years of relevant experience in RHEL server administration
* Enterprise-level server administration - Demonstrated experience in managing, implementing, and maintaining an enterprise-level server environment that includes VMWare, physical and Cloud.
* VMWare - Experience deploying and maintaining servers in a hosted virtual environment.* Cloud - Experience deploying and maintaining servers in a public-cloud hosted environment such as GCP & Azure
* Delinia Server Suite - (Centrify AD Bridge) - - Solid knowledge how to upgrade/maintain and troubleshoot Server Suit.
* Ansible and shell scripting - Practical experience scripting to automate tasks and processes at an enterprise scale.
* Networking - General knowledge in networking including TCP/IP, ACLs, VIPs, VPNs.
* Knowledge of Packer& Git Lab* Senior 7+ year Redhat Linux - RHL 7/8/9* Centrify - Linux AD Bridge* Ansible Automation
