As a member of the IT Management Team, you are responsible for managing, developing, and leading a team of employees. Your role includes leading the specific functional responsibilities of your team, which involves overseeing team performance and deliverables. However, your role as a leader within our organization requires more than the management of resources and day-to-day operations. The Manager of the Enterprise Quality Engineering & Test Automation team will be responsible for leading a team in the global administration and oversight of global enterprise test automation and quality assurance tooling, creating mock integration services, overseeing service virtualization, test data automation, and test account creation. The successful candidate will also drive continuous optimization of automation solutions, capture critical testing insights, and uphold testing best practices that aligns to industry standards and governance.

● Creates a high degree of focus on optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure and eliminating work through automation.
● Drives a culture of diversity, intellectual curiosity, problem solving and openness.
● Partners and embeds with our project teams and Pods to achieve operational and reliability objectives.
● Hires, trains and tracks performance of top-talent senior Automation and Support Engineers.
● Enables the team to drive important software, process, automation and technology initiatives and promote a culture of continuous improvement through blameless postmortems.
● This is a full-time management/leadership position (45+ hours per week).
REQUIRED
● +5 or more years of related experience in similar roles. Quality Engineering and Automation preferred
● Extensive knowledge of cloud ecosystems (Azure, Google)
● Extensive Knowledge of Automation tools
● Experience formulating and executing the team's technical strategy and roadmap.
● Expertise of Infrastructure-as-code approaches, role-specific automation tools and associated programming languages
● Scalable architectures, including APIs, microservices and PaaS.
● Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate teams.
● Experience taking projects from inception to production, and is comfortable diving in to provide leadership Experience in recruiting and managing a team of experienced engineers and architects on large scale projects.
● Prior experience in defining and setting measurable success criteria for Quality Engineering and Automation
● Prior experience in hiring, training and leading a team of top talent engineers.
● Prior experience working with other internal teams - Development, Engineering, Operations teams to successfully resolve and close support cases.
● Ability to form strong partnerships and continuous collaboration with enterprise teams.
● Capable of leading a discussion with senior management, and is able to tailor the level of technical detail to suit the audience.
● HIPAA Training and Supervisors Orientation (within 30 days of hire); Leadership Development 101 (within one year); Costco Pay Policies (within 90 days of promotion).
Recommended
● Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems or a related field, or equivalent work experience
● Prior experience managing or leading a software development or a support team in a large technologically intensive organization with a focus on test automation.
● Has either developed applications using or, worked in some technical hands-on capacity.
● Experience developing and debugging CI/CD pipelines
● Prior demonstrable experience troubleshooting, root-causing, and triaging support and/or operational cases.
● Experience in incident management and facilitating retrospectives and post mortems.

Pay Range: $137,000 - $210,000, Bonus and Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) eligible
