Accountabilities
As the Global Materials Planner, you will be responsible for all elements of planning cell therapy raw materials used in manufacturing, QC, and development across multiple manufacturing and development sites in our cell therapy network. You will create and execute materials planning processes to support on-time delivery to patients. You will report to the Associate Director, Cell Therapy Global Planning. This position can be based in CA (Santa Monica or Tarzana), or Gaithersburg, MD with at least three days per week onsite.
What you'll do:
* Lead materials planning of critical manufacturing and QC cell therapy materials across the manufacturing and development network
* Set up a schedule for ordering materials from suppliers, working with Purchasing for purchase order execution
* Monitor and balance inventory levels across the cell therapy network per demand and inventory policy, managing risk to ensure availability for production and development
* Work with manufacturing sites to adjust materials supply plans based on local constraints
* Manage planning assumptions such as consumption, Bill of Materials, lead time, and testing to ensure uninterrupted supply for cell therapy production
* Support and implement processes for inventory planning, inventory management, Bill Of Materials, master data management, Kanban, materials flows, and other related capabilities
* Support new material qualification efforts, tech transfer projects, and process improvements
* Report on materials inventory, supply, and scrap risks, providing routine metrics
* Develop and manage raw materials demand forecasts shared with key suppliers.
* Manage and escalate material supply risks. Collaborate to develop mitigation plans.
* Analyze consumption and supply trends to optimize planning process and planning assumptions
Essential Skills/Experience
* Knowledgeable with cGxP and regulatory regulations and compliance requirements for cell therapy and pharmaceutical industry
* ERP and Planning System experience
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required; experience with advanced functions and data analysis is a plus.
* Interactive skills to foster collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.
* Professional certifications like CPIM or APICS are a plus
Required Education and Experience
* 7+ years with BS/BA, or 5+ years with MS/MA or MBA
* Direct experience and working knowledge in planning, materials requirements planning, production scheduling in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, cell therapy preferred.

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $80,868 - $121,302. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
