About This Opportunity
JOB SUMMARY:
Leads the Strategic Sourcing team and other stakeholders through Analytics by providing advanced, data-driven solutions and business insights to support sourcing decisions that will result in Sourcing Managers and Buyers realizing significant savings for the company. Coordinate collection, analysis and reporting of data from various sources to support strategic sourcing, supplier engagement and reporting needs within the Center of Excellence. Supports the Strategic Sourcing function process standardization and providing process and system support. Must have proven leadership skills, ability to influence peers and senior leadership, and to make decisions based on understanding the business through numbers to meet business objectives. Skills must include leading meetings, project management and managing a small team of Data Analysts.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- GEP Smart Software, AdobeSign, Oracle Procurement & Sourcing Processes
- Support of Indirect Sourcing Team in RFx, Negotiations with data analytics etc
- Indirect Cost Data Analysis (Commodity, Trend), Savings Tracking
- Strategic Sourcing Systems & Processes
- Responsibility as the System Owner for GEP Smart Software, AdobeSign, Oracle Procurement
- Subject matter expert for procurement systems and processes
- Focus on process design and technology for automated procurement systems to help reduce costs, increase spend visibility and compliance, and increase stakeholder satisfaction
- Testing of the systems and issue resolution from updates
- Manage enhancement request process - prioritization, communication, facilitation of user functional / acceptance testing and training on new enhancements
- Evaluate current procurement processes, identifying areas for improvement in efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and overall effectiveness.
- Develop and Implement Vendor Scorecarding for Indirect Key Vendors
- Develop and implement process enhancement initiatives to optimize workflows and streamline operations.
- Support of Indirect Sourcing Team in RFx, Negotiations etc
- Coordinate with sourcing managers & analysts to support data collection for fact-base analysis and RFx setup
- Work with Sourcing Managers through RFx process and negotiations; Analysis lead for price and contract negotiations
- Strategic Support of Sourcing Managers and Category teams - development of Sourcing/Commodity strategy
- Support/Analyze/Report on Cost Savings Initiatives/Goals
- Work closely with the category management teams to understand their data and reporting needs and develop reporting solutions to meet objectives
- Participate in special projects, analysis, and ad-hoc tasks as required by management
- Indirect Cost Data Analysis (Commodity, Trend), Savings Tracking
- Track Commodities and work with Sourcing Managers/Buyers to reduce cost with suppliers; Internal cross-functional leadership on cost requests and alignment with SVM (Strategic Vendor Management)
- Coordinate the collection, analysis and reporting of data from various sources to support sourcing events with sourcing analysts
- Measure and track performance within each spend category and define budgetary impact

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
EDUCATION: Bachelors/4 Yr Degree
YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 5+ years
YEARS OF MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE: 3+ years preferred
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Business Analytics, Economics or Finance. Master's degree is preferred, but not required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in utilizing data analytics to drive business decisions.
- Knowledge of financial modeling and reporting.
- Knowledge of Sourcing/Procurement software preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of Oracle Procurement software preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of procurement and vendor management end-to-end processes preferred
- Demonstrate the ability to solve complex problems with minimal direction.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Project Management skills with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to influence Senior Leadership, by displaying knowledge on detailed subject matter, while being able to communicate concisely
