Media Planner/Buyer - TV & Radio
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Media Planner/Buyer to join our team, specializing in TV and Radio advertising. The ideal candidate will possess strong media buying and negotiation skills, along with a deep understanding of industry research and media planning to effectively manage our clients' advertising campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize industry research data to help with the development of media recommendations.
- Investigate, plan, and negotiate opportunities for airing financial radio and TV shows.
- Negotiate rates and placements with media vendors to maximize value for clients.
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance, adjusting strategies as needed for improved ROI.
- Prepare and manage media schedules, ensuring timely placement of ads across various platforms.
- Reconcile and manage media billing.
- Collaborate with creative and account teams to align media strategies with client goals.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging media opportunities to enhance client offerings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years experience of proven experience in media buying and planning, particularly in TV and Radio.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills with a track record of successful vendor relations.
- In-depth knowledge of media research tools such as Nielsen, Tapscan, and Scarborough.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
- Familiarity with traditional broadcast and digital media planning is a plus.
- Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights for campaign optimization.
