Job Summary
Assist and support providers in the delivery of direct patient care in the Pediatric Cardiology Clinic by managing patient flow in a complex outpatient setting.

Responsibilities*
Function as an integral member of the team to coordinate patient flow. Duties include but are limited to the following: taking vital signs, rooming patients, documenting and order entry within the MiChart system, arranging and coordinating support and ancillary services for patient care, preparing patient rooms for visits, stocking exam rooms, preparing schedules, and providing general support to clinicians and patients. Collaborate with clinical staff and recommend changes to improve the safety, quality and efficiency of patient care.
Required Qualifications*
- High school diploma or GED.
- Graduation from a medical assistant program or an equivalent combination of education and 0-1 years experience is necessary.
- Some office experience is necessary.
- Exemplary interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, problem solve and work cooperatively with faculty and staff.
- Strong attention to detail, multitasking, accountability and follow through abilities.
- Ability to work as part of a team but also able to take direction while successfully managing the clinic needs in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional and positive image and attitude when interacting patients, faculty, and staff.
Desired Qualifications*
- Minimum 1-2 year experience of direct patient care in a medical setting or ambulatory care site.
- Pediatric patient care experience.
- Proficient in MiChart.
- Responds positively to change, showing willingness to learn new ways to work.
Work Schedule
Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
