Pharma Copywriter / Medical Editor - fully remote and 40 hours/week (EST hours)!
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Copywriter with a strong background in the pharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating compelling and accurate content that adheres to industry regulations while effectively communicating our brand message. This role requires a creative thinker who can translate complex medical information into clear and engaging copy for various audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop original concepts/copy and also use previously approved copy to develop copy decks aligned to creative briefs including but not limited to:
1. Promotional materials and resources across all therapeutic areas (respiratory, oncology, vaccines, specialty)
2. Branded and unbranded materials
3. Healthcare provider and patient materials
- Develop copy suited for and across all content channels, digital and print
- Craft alternative options for client-created copy to deliver maximum impact and the best customer experience
- Partner closely with marketing as embedded team member to ideate and deliver creative copy solutions and expedite their deliverables
- Work as a support and ideation member of the Content Studio creative team, articulating patient-, HCP-, and payer-focused messaging, and work on its integration with project and campaign components
- Present copy to clients and explain how copy aligns to their brief and overall strategy
- Ensure quality, medical accuracy, and health literacy of all copy
- Copy edit and proof layout files to ensure copy is presented accurately at all stages of the process
- Prepare materials for promotional team review (legal, medical, regulatory, editorial review); participate in promotional review meetings and process, as required, providing solutions to ensure/accelerate approval
- Accurately substantiate and reference original and repurposed copy
- Review and utilize multiple resource documents when creating and reviewing projects, following FDA regulations and internal client guidance, style guides, and standards and pulling through required elements on a per-project basis
- Manage multiple projects at the same time and at different stages in a deadline-driven environment with quick turnaround times
- Follow detailed processes within project management system and content routing system
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in copywriting, specifically within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to write clear, engaging, and persuasive copy while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent proofreading and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and grammar.
