8Summary:
This Physical Therapist will help provide coverage to our inpatient services focusing on functional skills to enhance development, restore function, and prevent disability from pediatric conditions, illness, and injury. Duties include providing evaluation, treatment, and home programming to children with burns and wounds, orthopedic injuries, brain injuries and neurological impairments, hematology and oncology disorders, musculoskeletal injuries or disorders, neuromuscular disorders, gross motor delays, and cardiopulmonary disorders. Providing evaluations for wheelchairs, walkers, and other assistive devices. The PT will provide therapy services for chronically ill patients admitted to the hospital and provide patient and caregiver education and consultation to other medical professionals, clinics, and agencies, both within Cook Childrens Health Care System and the community.
Hours: Flexible schedule. (8am - 4:30pm) Will work 1 day during the week and must be able to work 1 weekend day per month. Flexible Hours/shifts available to accommodate before and after school hours.
Pay rate: $51.50/hour
Qualifications:
Master's Degree required.
Pediatric and/or Developmental Experience preferred.
CPR - BLS within 30 days of employment required.
State license for physical therapy or eligible for licensure.
