Full Job Description

Job Summary:

The Procurement Intern will provide support to the Procurement team and assist in day to day administrative tasks. This role offers an opportunity to gain experience in the Procurment Department. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has strong analytical skills, and is eager to learn about procurement and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in daily office operations, indcluding scheduling, meetings, managing calendars and handling correspondence
  • Maintain and organize office files, records, and documentation.
  • Support the team in preparing reports, presentation and other business materials
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and other communication in a professional manner
  • Support various adminsitrative projects and tasks as required
  • Conduct market research and analysis to support sourcing decisions.
  • Maintain and update supplier databases, contracts, and purchase orders.
  • Support in preparing and reviewing RFQs (Requests for Quotation) and RFPs (Requests for Proposals).
  • Monitor and follow up on delivery schedules, ensuring timely fulfillment of orders.
  • Help analyze supplier performance and prepare reports for management review.
  • Participate in negotiations and supplier meetings as required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and logistics.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and ad hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in procurement and supply chain management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
