A Day in the Life:

The role within Supply QA has expanded over the last several years. As Bunge continues to grow by adding more specialty ingredients into the portfolio, new acquisitions and expansions, and the need for additional contract manufacturers, the increase in demand for timely new approvals and oversight continues. With this expansion comes the need for more subject matter experts and/or expanded learning capabilities.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Manage approvals and day-to-day oversight of supplier documentation, including conducting regular supplier visits and participating in new supplier RFP evaluations.
  • Support integration of the Milling business unit into the Supply QA program by standardizing processes such as audit templates, audit frequencies, and TraceGains utilization.
  • Develop and improve raw material specification processes, including creating new specifications and establishing methods to cross-reference new supplier specifications with existing materials.
  • Review supplier specification sheets to determine appropriate plant packaging types and ensure accurate assignment of raw material codes upon approval.
  • Identify and implement improvements to packaging material approval processes to ensure compliance with food safety standards (e.g., BPA-free, phthalate-free materials).
  • Enhance document management practices by aligning supplier documentation with specific packaging SKUs/SAP numbers to ensure accurate and complete specification tracking.
  • Evaluate supplier performance to identify continuous improvement opportunities and mitigate potential supplier risks.
  • Drive enhancements in material risk tracking processes to improve visibility and proactive risk management.

Skills/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Ag Business, Food Science, or other agriculture related field required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in quality program implementation and maintenance, along with strong knowledge of food safety and quality systems, continuous improvement and problem-solving
  • Experience and working knowledge of HACCP/HARPC programs
  • Auditing experience (internal, supplier or 3rd party)
  • HACCP, SQF and/or BRC knowledge preferred
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong computer skills. Experience with SAP desired
  • Proficiency with data management portals
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication skills and proven attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing environments.
