Full Job Description
Leading global hedge fund located in Midtown, Manhattan is seeking to hire a Temporary to Permanent Receptionist to sit at the front desk, serve as the face of the firm and manage the daily operations of a 150-person office. This position will require 5 days on-site between the hours of 7am-5pm with flexibility required depending on the shift. The ideal candidate is a hospitable, presentable, quick-thinking, highly organized, proactive self-starter who pays close attention to detail and maintains the utmost level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion.
Responsibilities:
General office administration tasks, including (but not limited to):
- Greeting guests
- Answering phones
- Preparing meeting rooms & connecting video conferences for guests and employees
- Processing incoming and outgoing mail/deliveries; maintaining calendars and files
- Managing vendor relationships
- Planning office-wide events
- Ordering, stocking, and maintaining office supplies
- Coordinating travel arrangements
- Assisting in coordination for various repairs or maintenance
- Providing basic office support and cross coverage for the broader facilities and administration team as needed on an ad hoc basis
- Managing last minute meeting room requests across all teams
Qualifications:
- Must have strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Must be vocal and have a sense of urgency while maintaining poise and composure under pressure
- Candidates should be resourceful, proactive and display good judgement
- Must pay close attention to detail, self-confident and able to pick up on social cues
- Prioritize time-sensitive tasks with a positive, above-and-beyond approach
- Should be a team player and have a positive attitude. A "no job is too big or too small" approach is very important to our culture
- Must be comfortable working with people across all organizational levels
- Inherently hospitable - hospitality experience is helpful but not necessary
Compensation/Benefits:
- Up to 65K Base + Paid OT + Discretionary Bonus
