Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX, is seeking a full time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our amazingLevel One Emergency Department. Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin.
Schedule: Full Time
Day and Night shifts available , 7a-7p and 7p-7a36 hours per week
Busy ER in level One TraumaHospital -Certified Chest Pain and Stroke Center
Our Registered Nurse (RN) staff are proficient in Stroke and STEMI activations and established care guidelines
This is a fast-paced ER environment whose success is dependent on teamwork. We have 50 exam rooms and 6 trauma bays
RNs work closely with ED Providers, Social Workers, Registration, etc. because we are truly in it together!
The Emergency department primarily cares for adult populations, but we do care for pediatric patients as needed.
Registered Nurses (RN) can be involved in Improvement projects, Shared Governance, department committees and councils. Everyone's voice matters
This unit provides staff the ability to learn new skills, improve time management, and be a part of team that is focused on making ED experiences 'Better for Everyone'

Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse, will oversee patient care provided by the healthcare team using a professional practice model. Your responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses.
What You'll Do
- As a Registered Nurse you will conduct detailed clinical assessments, prioritize patient and family needs, create, implement, and evaluate care plans. Adjust plans to reach desired outcomes.
- Building relationships, managing discomfort, staying professional are vital in therapeutic connections with patients and families.
- Creating care plans reflecting values aids in resolving issues.
- You will help educate patients, families, nurses, and community members to empower them with knowledge for better healthcare choices. Assess and document learning needs regularly.
- Work with colleagues and community to create a care plan. Delegate tasks carefully and follow up promptly.
- You'll use different strategies for problem-solving with patients, families, and staff. Recognize limitations and prioritize safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care planning and delivery.

Qualifications
- Grad of a Registered Nurse Accredited Program
- Specialized field of study should be nursing.
- A current and valid nursing license.
- Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.
- Must have 1 year of Emergency Room RN experience
