Our retail client is looking for a collaborative, communicative Retail Store Designer to join their team fulltime with 3 days/week onsite (Tue-Thu) in San Francisco. Monday and Friday are remote.
This Retail Store Designer will be:
Drafting 3D floor plans, elevations and renderings for each location, with a proven understanding of materials, fabrication methods and construction details.
Providing proposals for finishes and subsequent details for all design elements.
Translating brand standards and concepts in an innovative yet fiscally responsible way and make adjustments to designs based on individualized store and space details.
Communicating design intent with architects, vendors, cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
Ensuring compliance with landlord design manuals, state and local codes, ADA compatibility, etc.
Required Skills/Experience:
Minimum 6+ years creating and iterating on 3D design concepts and layout structure including windows, glass, floor, bench, risers, tables, fixtures using SketchUp, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and ideally some AutoCAD.
Portfolio must include windows, glass, floor, bench, risers, tables, fixtures design, detail, concept to developing in real life execution.
Must have worked with executing vendors before.
Comfortable presenting to leadership and communicating design choices.
Proven project management ability in setting own schedule, work cadence and meeting deadlines.
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
