Semi Local CDL Truck Driver

Pay: $27.50 - $28.50 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Day and overnight shifts; weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed (approximately 60 hours per week)

Position Overview

  • As a key member of the Land O'Lakes, Inc. transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting agricultural materials, including fertilizer and anhydrous ammonia, to customer locations and cooperative sites.

  • You will operate within a regional area with routes primarily running through Iowa and Nebraska (home most days), along with overnight routes to Kansas, Texas, North Dakota, South Dakota, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio.

  • This role is part of our WinField United business, which provides agricultural inputs, expertise, and technology to member-owners and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follows all driving and safety policies

  • Complies with FMCSA and DOT regulations of drivers

  • Complies with all safety processes and insists on safety practices of self and others

  • Shows up on time, completes tasks by deadlines, and adapts to changes quickly

  • Ensures all standard operating procedures are followed

  • Successful forklift certification required

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Must be 21 years or older

  • Possesses valid driver's license including:

    • Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

    • HAZ-MAT licensure (or ability to attain)

    • Tanker Endorsement Required

  • 2+ years of commercial driving experience

  • Basic computer and math skills

  • Able to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions

  • Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve and troubleshoot

  • Strong collaboration, communication skills, and is always respectful

Preferred Experience:

  • 3+ years of commercial driving experience

  • Anhydrous experience

  • Tanker Experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift 60lbs

  • Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements

  • Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment

  • Working across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include work in environments where dust and chemicals are present

  • Shift schedules that include days, nights, and weekends, some holidays and periodic overtime
