The Role:
The Senior Analyst, Order Room will be working on day-to-day client inquiries, system issues, product improvements, and development projects. Your work, skills, and performance will provide clients with an outstanding experience. This role will also play a pivotal role in risk-abatement for Fidelity and for the numerous clients that trade in our platforms. Finally, you will play a role in the continued improvements of such products.
- Supporting retail and institutional client order flow which utilizes direct FIX connectivity to FCM as well as Institutional order flow directed to FCET Products
- Operating order routing and recovery procedures during system and market place issues
- Building professional relationships with external execution venues and other Fidelity business units
- Utilizing your ability to analyze a problem, obtain and evaluate information to support sound conclusions.
- Understanding the regulatory and risk environment and their impact to processes and decision-making
- Applying open communication and teamwork throughout the group
- Operating under set procedures but demonstrating flexibility and creativity in making improvements and efficiencies
The Expertise and Skills You Bring:
- You have 2-4 years of Capital Markets or Brokerage Operations experience
- You have strong client service skills in a fast paced environment
- You hold Series 7 and 63 licenses. If not currently held, must obtain within 6 months of hire.
- A strong client service mindset
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- A solid understanding of brokerage/sell-side business
- The ability to work in a fast paced, high intensity trading desk environment
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Awareness and sense of urgency to resolve and /or manage problems
- Your ability to work with people across a large organization comprised of multiple business lines
- Your understanding and/or ability to learn equity market structure, electronic trading products, and FIX protocol.
The Team
The Fidelity Capital Markets (FCM) Order Room team provides coverage for all Fidelity Broker Dealer order flow. This team is responsible for ensuring the proper routing and execution of equity and option order flow for FCM's Electronic Products (RouteHub), Trade Flow, FBSI Mainframe Order Region, and support for the Equity Trading Floor. The team also acts as point of contact to all exchanges, ECNs and ATSs for order and routing-related issues. The Order Room provides coverage to numerous business units, and products across Fidelity.
