Overview:
We're seeking a skilled Senior Developer with expertise in OpenText Exstream, Java, and distributed applications to lead development efforts for our communication platforms. This role will focus on enhancing application efficiency, modernizing platforms, and implementing process improvements. You'll collaborate closely with geographically dispersed teams to deliver scalable, high-volume solutions for multi-channel customer communications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead development and enhancement of distributed applications and OpenText Exstream-based platforms for customer communications.
• Manage build, release, and deployment activities, including issue resolution.
• Drive process improvements, tool enhancements, and platform modernization initiatives.
• Oversee code review, approval processes, and risk assessment for high-quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to align technical solutions with the product roadmap.
• Provide technical guidance to distributed teams, ensuring solution design and delivery for high-volume applications.

Technical Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field; equivalent practical experience is accepted.
• Experience: 8+ years in Java development (Spring framework) and distributed applications.
• Customer Communication Management: Proficiency with OpenText Exstream and CCM systems, including design for digital and print channels.
• High-Volume Processing: Strong understanding of batch processing, job scheduling, and scalable architectures.
• Scripting & CI/CD: Experience with Unix, shell scripting, Jenkins/Bamboo, and Git/Bitbucket.
• Agile & Collaboration: Experience in agile environments as part of a scrum team.

Communication & Leadership:

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to varied audiences.
• Collaborative relationship builder capable of cross-functional teamwork.
• Experience working with or leading globally dispersed teams across time zones.

Preferred Skills:

• Advanced expertise in OpenText Exstream and CCM systems.
• Experience with Java Core, Spring, NoSQL databases (MongoDB), and SQL.
• Familiarity with cloud tech (Pivotal Cloud Foundry) and legacy/mainframe applications.
• Knowledge of Web Content Management Systems and Control-M job scheduling.
