NF & IWS Systems, in partnership with the Data Externalization Discovery & AIMS squad, is looking for a highly motivated Mainframe Senior Software Engineer to join the team. This candidate will be responsible for generating ad hoc reports for compliance purposes as well as processing batch update requests on behalf of our business partners. The candidate will also support our mainframe modernization efforts by partnering with our teams across the organization to migrate various reporting and batch update functionality off our mainframe and onto our distributed platforms.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring:
- 8+ years of mainframe software development experience using Cobol, DB2, JCL, VSAM
- Knowledge of SQL, File-aid, Eztrieve and SPUFI is preferred
- Experience in Agile development methodology and Jira
- Knowledge of Business Objects, PowerBI, Snowflake and AWS is a plus
- Ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups, both in person and virtually, in a constructive and collaborative manner
- Ability to quickly learn, adapt and strive to meet the needs of a fast paced, changing environment
- Ability to navigate organizationally to accomplish tasks
- Ability to work on multiple efforts simultaneously
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Quick learner and willing to adapt and learn new technologies
