Summary of Position
The position of Senior Manager, Category Profitability (FP&A) – Ninja will report to the Senior Director, Category Profitability (FP&A) and be responsible for leading the support and financials across a set of Ninja product categories. This role will work closely with Finance leadership and cross-functional teams including Product Development, Marketing, Commercialization, SS&A, and Engineering. The Senior Manager will act as a key financial business partner, providing critical insights into Profit & Loss, conducting margin analysis, and leading cost optimization initiatives across multiple Ninja categories. As part of a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment, this role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and the ability to build cross-functional relationships to drive business success.
Essential Functions
- Lead the financial management for Ninja product categories, ensuring the accuracy of Category P&Ls and driving continuous process improvements.
- Identify and implement efficiencies in the P&L creation process to reduce time and improve accuracy.
- Provide strategic financial insights and partner with cross-functional teams to support business growth, including marketing, product development, and SS&A.
- Prepare and present monthly financial review packages for senior leadership, offering actionable insights and driving follow-up actions through P&L implementation.
- Lead cost optimization efforts, conducting in-depth margin analysis and recommending solutions to improve profitability.
- Develop and refine financial models to support scenario analyses, business cases, and forecasting efforts, enabling the organization to make informed decisions in a dynamic environment.
- Collaborate closely with FP&A colleagues and business partners to deliver thoughtful and impactful financial analysis.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Take ownership of ad hoc financial analysis, supporting key initiatives and special projects as assigned by leadership.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
- 7+ years of relevant work experience in Finance/Accounting, with proven experience in financial analysis and budgeting.
- Experience working cross-functionally and acting as a financial leader in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to manage competing priorities and lead projects to completion.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a high degree of accountability and attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (strong financial modeling skills required) and other Office applications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
