Join the MATLAB Product Management team and be responsible for driving the future direction of MATLAB, the programming platform used by over 5 million engineers and scientists. Product managers partner with the MATLAB Development team to understand key customer requirements and define product features for MATLAB. We outline the short- and long-term roadmaps for the MATLAB product as a whole and for each of its key feature areas.


We are looking for a Product Manager to lead the growth of software development workflows in MATLAB. You will focus on areas like package management, source control integration, code management, testing, and continuous integration (CI). This role also includes an overall responsibility to ensure that MATLAB is a productive platform for developing engineering and scientific software.

Responsibilities

  • Help plan future MATLAB releases

  • Identify new investment areas

  • Develop market and product requirements

  • Collect, synthesize, and prioritize customer feedback

  • Drive the successful launch of new features, including feature naming, positioning, demonstrations, web content, and field-engineer training

  • Measure and drive adoption of new features

  • Track and report on the scientific computing market and alternative offerings


Qualifications

  • Proficiency in utilizing software development tools, including version control systems like Git, package managers such as pip, conda, or npm, and Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) platforms like Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions

  • Experience using MATLAB in a professional setting

  • Experience with Python is a plus

  • Experience in product management, especially in software development tools

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Experience working with a team and building consensus across different groups within your company


Required Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree, or equivalent experience) is required.
