Description

Position Summary

Incumbent for the Senior Software Engineer – IS Reporting position will need to be highly skilled in software development life cycle (SDLC) and will need expertise in C#, .NetCore, Blazor, and Microsoft Azure to join the development team. This role is ideal for a seasoned developer who specializes in cloud-based solutions, scalable web applications, and microservices architecture. Incumbent will play a key role in architecting, developing, and optimizing Azure-based applications, ensuring security, performance and maintainability to drive our business goals.

Essential Functions and Duties

  • Architect, develop, and maintain robust web applications using C#, .NET Core, and Blazor within an Azure cloud environment.
  • Design and implement scalable, high-performance APIs and microservices using TypeScript, Node.js, and Azure functions.
  • Lead technical discussions and contribute to Azure cloud architecture and DevOps strategies.
  • Optimize application performance, implement best security practices, and ensure high availability in Azure.
  • Develop containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS) for cloud deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical specifications and cloud infrastructure needs.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, ensuring smooth deployment and version control.
  • Perform code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to enhance software reliability.
  • Work closely with UI/UX teams to implement intuitive user interfaces using Blazor and TypeScript.
  • Stay updated on Azure services and cloud computing trends to drive continuous improvement.
  • Adheres specifically to all company policies and procedures, Federal and State regulations, and laws.

Qualifications


Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or an additional four (4) years relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field preferred

Required Knowledge:

  • Minimum seven (7) years of software development experience [eleven (11) for non-degreed candidates] with a strong focus on C#, .NetCore, and Blazor.
  • Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, including containerization with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (ARM/Bicep/Terraform).
  • Strong understanding of modern front-end frameworks (e.g., Blazor, React, or Angular) and Typescript.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities, with a passion for mentoring junior engineers.

Preferred Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with Power bi embedded integration
  • Databricks connections

Required Experience:

  • Minimum seven (7) years of software development experience [eleven (11) for non-degreed candidates] with a strong focus on C#, .NetCore, and Blazor.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure App Services, Azure functions, Azure SQL and document databases .
  • Proven experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and integrating with front-end technologies.
  • Experience with Azure security best practices, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), Key Vault, and Managed Identities.

Preferred Experience:

  • Ten (10) years of progressive experience in Cloud Based solutions development.

Required Skills:

  • Must have strong organizational skills
  • Must have a detail orientation and the proven ability to prioritize work
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have the ability to work with limited supervision and as part of a team
  • Sound decision-making abilities

Physical requirements

Vision, hearing, speech, movements requiring the use of wrists, hands and/or fingers. Must have the ability to view a computer screen for prolonged periods and the ability to sit for extended periods. Must have the ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position, as scheduled. The employee occasionally lifts to 50 lbs. and occasionally kneels and bends. Working condition include warehouse setting.

Mental Demands

Learning, thinking, concentration and the ability to work under pressure, particularly during busy times. Must be able to pay close attention to detail and be able to work as a member of a team to ensure excellent customer service. Must have the ability to interact effectively with co-workers and customers, and exercise self-control and diplomacy in customer and employee relations’ situations. Must have the ability to exercise discretion as well as appropriate judgments when necessary. Must be proactive in finding solutions.
