Skills and Competencies
Required Skills and Experience:
- Experience writing code in C#, VBA
- Good programming and debugging skills using Visual Studio
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new things and passion to solve difficult technical problems
- Interest in cloud-native development (AWS)
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience building software in an academic or industry setting
- Experience with modeling or simulations a plus
- Skills in analytic computing and algorithms
- Knowledge of programming concepts such as multi-threading, memory management, and query processing
- Familiarity with statistics, numerical computing
Education
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering
- Graduation date of June 2026 - June 2027
- Ability to work during program dates: June 2nd - August 8th 2025
Responsibilities
- For C# .Net focus will be on assisting in development of WinForms application and API's
- For COM API assist in development of VBA scripts
- Tasks will include refactoring, documentation, testing and adding more automation for testing
- Focus on exploring new development technologies
About the Program
Moodys Analytics provides advanced data and analytics services focused on risk management to the financial markets. We have development teams in New York, San Francisco, London and Prague. Our New York teams are focused in developing and delivering various applications to our clients and incorporate a variety of technology stacks including C# .Net, microservices, cloud and REST API.
Moody's 10-week summer internship program is a premier opportunity for students to immerse themselves in a hands-on learning experience, guided by Moody's commitment to integrity, excellence, and insight. The program takes place each summer from June - August and positions are available for undergraduate and select graduate students. Internships are full-time, offering a comprehensive view of Moody's business and culture, and a chance to build professional and technical skills. Programmatic elements include networking, mentorship, leadership speaker series and volunteering events. Interns complete project work determined by their team that have real impact, fostering a sense of accomplishment and professional growth. Throughout the internship, participants receive mentorship from Moody's professionals, gaining insights into diverse career paths and cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the company. Networking events and workshops further enrich the experience, providing a platform for professional development and collaboration. As a Moody's intern, you will gain real-world experience, turn inputs into actions, and be integral part of the team.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring hourly range for this position is $35.
