Data Privacy and AI governance co-op
Location: In-Office in Needham, MA
Position Overview
We are implementing an AI Governance Program to enable our business teams to use, develop, and deploy AI solutions in a compliant and ethical manner. This co-op position will support the Data Privacy and AI Governance team in managing the increasing demands in the AI space, particularly for projects sponsored by our executive leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in AI technology and technical skills in AI/ML, including experience with Large Language Models (LLMs).
Key Responsibilities
- AI Governance Support:
- Assist in developing and implementing AI governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with internal and external AI regulations and standards.
- Monitor and assess AI projects for compliance with governance protocols.
- Technical Contribution:
- Support the development and deployment of internal LLMs and other AI models.
- Work closely with technical teams to integrate AI solutions that align with AI governance objectives.
- Assist in troubleshooting and optimizing AI models for performance and compliance.
- Project Management:
- Communicate effectively with business teams to understand project requirements and provide appropriate AI solutions.
- Assist in preparing reports and presentations for executive stakeholders.
- Research and Analysis:
- Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in AI governance, ethics, and compliance.
- Analyze emerging AI regulations and assess their impact on company operations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of AI governance strategies.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or master’s program in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, or a related field.
- Coursework or focus on AI governance, ethics, or compliance is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and frameworks.
- Knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and natural language processing (NLP) techniques.
- Ability to work with AI tools and platforms for model development and deployment.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Other Qualifications:
- Understanding of AI governance principles and ethical considerations.
- Awareness of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) is advantageous.
- Self-motivated and eager to learn about AI governance in a corporate setting.
