As a Sr. Demand Planner on our Demand Planning team, you will play a key role in building and presenting demand forecasts to cross-functional teams, including Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, and Merchandising. Your analysis will impact shipment forecasts, style and color projections, and contribute to the 3-Year Plan for our Fashion client based in Costa Mesa, CA. This role requires a keen analytical mind and collaborative spirit to help shape demand strategy and drive improvements across the business. This role is hybrid, 3 days in office and 2 days remote.
Key Responsibilities:
Demand Forecasting and Analysis:
- Develop, analyze, and present unconstrained demand forecasts using historical data and current trends.
- Facilitate monthly cross-functional demand forecast meetings, leading discussions to reach consensus with Sales, Finance, and Merchandising.
- Recommend style and color forecasts to Merchandising, Sales, and Sourcing teams, ensuring alignment with capacity needs.
- Execute product line forecasts at the style/color level by loading accurate data into forecasting software.
Reporting and Process Improvement:
- Prepare special reports, such as the 3-Year Plan, monthly high-volume product forecasts, and color requirements.
- Provide insights and follow-up on key business improvements related to shipping, inventory, SKU efficiency, systems, and processes.
- Lead and train peers on demand planning methodologies and support process improvement projects.
Success in This Role: A successful Sr. Demand Planner will drive consensus on forecasts, identify significant variances, and outline root causes for deviations. By executing forecasts on time, they will support critical Marketplace and Supply Chain initiatives.
Skills for Success:
- Professional Experience: 5+ years in demand planning or related field within Supply Chain.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or a related field, with at least 2 years of demand planning experience or equivalent training/experience.
- Skills:
- Advanced Excel skills and proficient PC skills.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in SAP, IBM Cognos Analytics, and Brio query tools preferred.
- Familiarity with Logility and/or APO forecasting software is a plus.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills to collaborate effectively with various levels within the organization.
- Certifications: IBF Certification is a plus.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $40.61 to $45.13 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
