The Customer Experience team focuses across 4 departments including, Marketing, Creative, Communications, and our Loyalty & CRM team. Hybrid Position:
This position may be considered Hybrid based on PetSmart’s FlexSmart policy and business needs. A Hybrid work arrangement is considered to be a blend of onsite and remote work activity. Associates with a Hybrid work arrangement have a work space at Phoenix Home Office and can be required to come onsite between 1-5 days a week as determined by leadership and based on business needs.

Sr Manager, Performance Media
PetSmart Inc. is transforming its approach and capabilities in its marketing discipline to be customer-obsessed to deliver more relevant and personalized consumer engagements. Data, technology, and platforms are at the heart of this transformation and PetSmart is building our media team to ensure technology adoption, sophistication, and innovation in all functions (eComm, Integrated Marketing, Media, Insights/Analytics).
The Sr Manager, Performance Media will have a passion for data-driven media decisions that will improve return. Lead execution and analytics for key channels and campaigns. Should have experience working in or with a media agency, leading media reporting, and optimizing plans based on business outcomes. Bring strong interpersonal and collaborative skills along with the ability to prioritize work effectively and manage simultaneous projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyzing campaign data to inform marketing decisions and improve ROI through our MMM + MTA attribution modeling
- Work together with the Media Brand Sr. Mgr. to develop and execute media campaign strategies to drive revenue (in-store and online) along with customer acquisition
- Managing Media agency handling execution and managing budgets effectively
- Monitoring and reporting on key performance metrics
- Communicate concise data points, trends, and measurement strategies to a broad audience - from development and technical experts to traditional brand managers
- Understand the media marketplace – how consumer behavior is changing, what new technologies and partners are available, and how we can use them to improve performance or durability
- Collaborate with Customer Analytics & Data Science Team to continually improve upon forecasting & reporting processes
- Driving omni-channel growth for a major retailer
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- 4+ Years of experience in media buying, media planning, media strategy, search & shopping demand driven channels
- Knowledge of key marketing measurement fundamentals, KPIs including baseline v incremental performance measurement, marketing/media tactics, and marketing mix modelling
- Track-record of using storytelling and data visualization to simplify complex concepts into executive-ready documents
- Proven record of managing an agency or team along with analyzing campaign data to inform marketing decisions and improve ROI
- Familiarity with performance media tools:
- I.e. Google Ads, SA360, Google Analytics, Meta, DV360, CM360 & TradeDesk
- Knowledge of web analytics or performance software (E.g., Google Analytics, GMP, Ipsos MMA, Analytic Partners, Neustar, LiveRamp)
