Required Skills & Competencies

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in employee communications strategy development and implementation within a global corporation across a variety of communication mediums.
  • Stellar interpersonal and relationship-building skills and strong executive presence, complementing an ability to manage stakeholder expectations and build lasting rapport.
  • Strong storyteller with knowledge of communications channels and trends, understanding of how they contribute to employee engagement.
  • Strategic, creative thinker with an ability to develop relevant content and programs with minimal guidance, coupled with an appreciation for scalable processes that help ensure efficient execution.
  • Experience as a trusted advisor to high-level executives.
  • Exceptional writing and editing ability, as well as high attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and navigate a variety of activities in a dynamic, fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Excellent organizational abilities to lead large projects and teams simultaneously, while managing and mitigating risk instinctively.

Education
Bachelor's degree required, with 15-20 years of communications and/or marketing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

You will be instrumental in developing, executing, and maintaining global employee engagement initiatives to reinforce our corporate culture. You will work closely with colleagues across Global Corporate Affairs, providing strategic advice to our business partners to achieve various shared objectives. A key aspect of this role will involve leading and refining processes, procedures, and systems that support our efforts. Additionally, as an innovative storyteller focused on results, you will help us explore creative solutions to ensure our initiatives have a meaningful impact.

Key areas of focus include:

  • Develop and drive employee communication strategies and messaging that improves engagement and enables the achievement of shared corporate priorities.
  • Offer proactive communications guidance and support as a relationship manager to senior partners in our primary business lines, effectively distilling ideas, strategies, and results in a succinct and persuasive manner.
  • Drive the adoption and evolution of scalable and repeatable processes to support the most efficient and effective use of our resources.
  • Lead a team creating engaging content and events that focuses on inspiring action among employees.
  • Act as an advisor, counsellor, and coach to senior executives.
  • Collaborate with executives to enhance their impact as brand advocates and assist them in strategic internal and external positioning. Support individual executives in developing an authentic and engaging voice.

About the team

This role is aligned with Moody's global Employee Communications & Events team. The group engages employees worldwide through storytelling to create experiences that help strengthen Moody's culture and brand engagement. Employee Communications & Events is a part of Global Corporate Affairs at Moody's which is also comprised of teams focused on a range of internal and external stakeholder engagement responsibilities for the company.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is [[$178,500 - [[$258,900, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody's also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
