Full Job Description

Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair, and operation products, is searching for a Corporate Talent Development Specialist  for our Columbus, OH location.

Our Training and Development Specialist will be accountable for ensuring the success of assigned development programs, communicating programs effectively, and communicating results to stakeholders across the organization. You will also be responsible for meeting project commitments to ensure efficient development of associates through established company programs.


Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for overseeing assigned development programs, communicating programs effectively, tracking metrics, and communicating metrics to stakeholders
  • Creates project plans and meets project deadlines with Manager guidelines
  • Collaborates with other HR Centers of Excellence to complete assigned delivery tasks
  • Responsible for the continuous improvement of assigned programs and processes
  • Facilitates effective meetings with internal and external stakeholders and customers
  • Completes all assigned tasks by given deadlines with a high quality of work
  • Collaborates with internal and sales associates and provides excellent customer service
  • Manages administrative tasks related to development programs such as scheduling, registration, and tracking attendance and progress
  • Drives a culture of continuous improvement for people, processes, and technology
  • Maintains current information regarding employment laws and trends in Human Resource Management
  • Presents trainings live and virtually via Teams

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years’ experience in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Talent Development, or other related position
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or other related filed or equivalent related experience
  • The ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in managing and refining development programs.
  • Comfort with both standardized and customized training delivery
  • Experience in public speaking and delivering presentations
  • Knowledge and experience with Excel, Word, Teams, Canva and PowerPoint
  • Basic skills in instructional design, including minor presentation edits and simple video editing.



Additional Information

This is a Monday- Friday role. 

This is a hybrid role- 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. (depending on training needs)
