Join a Great Place to Work! We’re looking for a Team Leader-Ratings to lead ATC’s Facility Ratings program. Help manage the people, processes, controls, and methodology that provide safe and reliable ratings (how much power can safely and reliably flow through our substations and transmission lines) for use in Planning and Operations across ATC’s footprint. This is a unique job opportunity serving a critical part of the electric power transmission industry.Essential Responsibilities:
In this role, you’ll use your Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in the electric power transmission industry and knowledge of electric power transmission ratings to lead and develop the Ratings Team staff, which includes Facility Ratings Engineers and Data Specialists. You’ll maintain a working knowledge of electric power transmission equipment ratings to serve as a technical reference, lead subject matter experts in updates to ATC’s Facility Ratings Methodology, and supervise efforts related to development of advanced rating methodologies and technologies such as Ambient Adjusted Ratings and Dynamic Line Ratings. In addition, you’ll manage compliance activities related to the FAC-008 NERC reliability standard, oversee the ongoing maintenance and development of ATC’s ratings database and related processes and controls, and oversee ATC’s Re-Rate program (LiDAR surveys and PLSCADD thermal rating studies for transmission lines). You will work not only with many different functions across our organization, but you will also become actively engaged in regulatory and stakeholder industry efforts to improve and mature the way equipment and facility ratings are managed and regulated.
