Position Title: Technology and Digital Solutions Specialist
Company Overview: Established in 1981, the Radio Research Consortium (RRC) is a not-for-profit independent research organization that specializes in providing Nielsen audience estimates and in-depth analysis to non-commercial radio stations across the United States. RRC is a crucial intermediary between Nielsen and its client stations, delivering weekly, monthly, and quarterly data reports and analyses.
Position Overview: The Technology and Digital Solutions Specialist is responsible for maintaining and improving the RRC website to maximize client experience and uptime, oversight of LPCcloud, working with the CRM to improve integrations and efficiency, server management, and training staff on technology integral to our business.

Detailed Job Functions:
- RRConline.org Website
- Manage - general upkeep/maintenance of site
- Enhance - better user interface on both frontend and backend
- Modernize - add client portal, speed, LARAVEL
- Streamline - integrate with production practices for easier reporting
- Apptivo CRM
- Manage – issues with triggers, URL problems, etc.
- Enhance – provide ideas and solutions to integrate new applications, e.g. Quickbooks
- AWS Web Server/Physical Server/Staff PC equipment
- Ongoing Management
- Oversee move to cloud-based server
- Maintain staff PCs; oversee purchase of additional equipment
- RRC Software - LPCcloud
- Backup - work with current developer as backup
- Modernize - integrate LARAVEL for easier enhancements
- Assume developer role when necessary
- Future Planning
- Identify and evaluate new technologies and advise RRC leadership on the availability and benefits
- Evaluate existing processes for opportunities to automate manual or inefficient functions.
- Identify new ways to capture digital data for clients
- Identify methods of incorporating AI into our practices
- Create new ways to streamline RRC processes
Other Job Functions:
- Represent the RRC as needed at industry conferences, meetings, webinars, and other events both in person and virtual.
- Work in concert with the RRC team to further the RRC’s mission, including but not limited to: supporting the production team with information and assistance; identifying areas for increased efficiency and integrations of systems, including MailChimp, Apptivo, Quickbooks, website, and more; envisioning and developing new products and services; and training staff on technology systems to provide redundancy, backup, and expanded knowledge and capabilities.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a related field and a minimum of four years experience in software development and systems management
- Familiarity with software and internet security best practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Highly detail-oriented; demonstrate your attention to detail by sharing your favorite color in your cover letter

Required Systems Knowledge and Development Skills
- Wordpress
- Experience in MVC frameworks, preferably Laravel or YII
- Familiarity with AWS environment
- Strong Web Development and Design
- PHP, Javascript/Ajax, MySQL, Perl
- Familiarity with ChartDirector charting library a plus
- Linux Web Server management
- Microsoft Office; Adobe Suite; CRM, CMS, email marketing platforms
Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of the mission and core values of non-commercial radio
- Working knowledge of Nielsen Audio audience measurement methodologies and terms
- A passion for data and data-driven strategies, and for helping others understand complex information
- Ability to learn quickly and be flexible
- Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities
Position Status: Permanent, full-time, salaried
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
