Job Description:

Under the direct supervision of the Associate Director of Concert Services, the Concert Services Production Manager assists with all production aspects and maintenance for Concert Services facilities at the Conservatory (i.e. sound equipment, electrical systems, lighting systems, etc.). This position has responsibility to assist in the technical production and support for concerts, clinics, recitals, and other events held on and off campus. Works with appropriate areas regarding the setup and use of the facilities for college and outside rental functions, meetings and events. Supervises 2-14 student workers in up to four different venues, primarily during evenings and weekends.

Essential Functions/Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists in supervision and/or training of work-study stage crew employees.
  • Assists with technical and lighting needs for events at Conservatory venues and off-campus
  • Ensure proper front-of-house and back-of-house protocol and procedure is followed by Concert Services student workers. Help ensure that concerts and events run smoothly, on time, and without incident and enforce maximum occupancy limits.
  • Assist with the coordination of equipment/instrument cartage between concert venues.
  • Review technical and production requirements, equipment needs, and repairs with the Associate Director of Concert Services.
  • Maintain appropriate event, production and maintenance records and distribute to appropriate individuals.
  • Other duties within the scope of the job description as assigned.
