




Who You’ll Work With:
We are seeking a Strategic Program Lead to join AllianceBernstein’s Strategic Delivery Team, which provides advisory support and program management for the firm’s enterprise-wide priorities. This role will be responsible for direct management of multiple projects with varying degrees of complexity. Initiatives can vary across our investment teams (Equities, Fixed Income, Multi-Asset and Hedge Fund Solutions, and Private Alternatives), distribution channels (Institutional, Retail, and Private Wealth), technology and operations, and other corporate functions. Projects are typically focused on: i) designing and building new products and services related to the firm’s growth areas, ii) driving organizational efficiencies, or iii) ensuring regulatory readiness. Stakeholders generally range from subject matter experts to the heads of our functions or business units.
Through deep involvement in highly visible strategic projects, the candidate will have the opportunity to learn about AB’s products, services, operations, infrastructure, and global distribution channels.
What You’ll Do:
The Strategic Program Lead will establish and lead cross-functional initiatives from initial ideation through to completion, ensuring a well-defined project vision that is understood by team members and stakeholders, planning for risks, managing execution, and achieving project success metrics. Candidates will have a proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders, mobilize and motivate teams, set direction and approach, resolve conflicts, and serve as a thought-partner to business stakeholders as needed to define and develop solutions.
Key Job Responsibilities, Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Be accountable for defining, planning, orchestrating, and delivering successful enterprise-wide cross-functional strategic and key business initiatives
- Develop constructs that frame key issues, outline proposed solutions, and assess trade offs
- Engage stakeholders across multiple business units to ensure alignment, participation, and agreement on project targets and end state and ownership
- Develop and own end-to-end project plans for one or more initiatives at a time; drive various aspects of project as needed to maintain momentum
- Manage interdependencies, reduce project risk, and find solutions to obstacles to project completion
- Communicate the progress and health of initiatives and individual workstreams to various levels of leadership
- Facilitate regular project team and steering committee meetings in-person and via Zoom
What We’re Looking For:
Qualifications, Experience, Education
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum 10+ years’ experience in consulting, strategy, project management, program management, or related area
- Experience in asset management, wealth management, or financial services preferred
- Outstanding project management skills and acumen, including experience with a broad range of project planning tools and concepts
- Skilled in developing partnerships with and successfully coordinating across various business and functional stakeholders
