As a Lead Project Engineer on the A350 Program you will play a crucial role in leading and managing the A350 in-service programs for engineering. You will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of engineering projects, driving operational excellence, and improving project delivery. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and define project scope, objectives, and deliverables will contribute to the overall success of the program. Your role will also involve monitoring project progress and ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets, which will help in maintaining efficient project management practices. You will work out of either the Torrance or Tempe locations on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will have a significant impact on the success of the A350 program. You will be responsible for providing clear, concise direction and be a focal point for customer engagement and internal program interfaces. You willlead a team of engineers, coordinate project activities, and ensure the timely and successful completion of deliverables. Your expertise in project management and your ability to influence drive results will be crucial in meeting the program's goals and objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage the A350 program, ensuring successful execution of engineering projects. Responsible for establishing a Management Operating System (MOS) to facilitate regular reviews to drive effective decision making and directing systems and project engineers assigned to the development efforts.
- Communicates effectively in all directions. Ability to effectively perform escalations throughout the organization when needed. Uses influence skills internally and externally to break barriers. Drives consensus and persuades external parties to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets
- Coordinate project activities and resources to ensure timely and successful completion of deliverables
- Develops and maintains long-term relationships with customers to identify new business opportunities. Ensures alignment of customer needs to business offerings.
The annual base salary range for this position in Torrance, California is $150,000 - $187,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as engineering
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, preferably in the aerospace industry
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing large, complex engineering projects
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
